Italian rapper Baby Gang was arrested on Tuesday and taken into custody in the northern city of Busto Arsizio on charges of robbery and illegal weapons possession, Carabinieri police said.
It is the latest in a long series of run-ins with the law for the 24-year-old, who has Moroccan roots and whose real name is Zaccaria Mouhib.
On March 4 the rapper had said "enough, only music now" after getting a jail term of two years, eight months for being found in possession of a semiautomatic pistol with its serial number scratched off and a magazine with nine cartridges in a hotel room in Milan in September.
In Italy jail terms only become effective once the appeals process has been exhausted.
Baby Gang has been in and out of jail several times in recent years.
