The Milan Prosecutor's Office investigation into Assistant Police Chief Carmelo Cinturrino, currently in prison for the murder of drug pusher Abderrahim Mansouri, killed on January 26 in the Rogoredo woods during an anti-drug operation, has been expanded to include two more officers from the Mecenate police station, judicial sources aid Monday.

The new possible charges, including one for forgery against a female police officer, are linked to the request for preliminary investigation notified in recent hours to summon at least eight witnesses, including drug dealers and drug addicts, to confirm their accounts.

Among the new charges is said to be unlawful arrest.

This brings the total number of suspects, including Cinturrino, to seven.

Cinturrino was arrested last month on suspicion of murdering the drug pusher in January in the notorious drug pushing Milanese outskirts woods and planting a blank gun at the scene to justify his alleged 'self-defence', in a case in which government members initially sided with him and said he should not have been placed under investigation for excessive self-defence.
