The Feb. 28 attack on Iran has given President Donald Trump and the Iran war mixed reviews among Americans in the polls.
After Trump's presidential approval rating rose slightly after the State of the Union address, his numbers took a hit after the military strikes in Iran.
The president hit all-time low job approval numbers in this term just prior to his State of the Union address, however American sentiment of his speech proved positive, according to the Economist/YouGov poll, getting 57% positive reviews of the speech versus 32% that felt it was poor.
As Trump's approval numbers were on the rise after the SOTU, Saturday's attack on Iran and the ensuing war have drawn a heavily polarized public sentiment on the street and in the polling.
While many people took to the streets and rallied in celebration over the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and calling for the end of the Iranian regime, many took to the same streets to protest the war with concerns over escalating Middle East violence.
