A 29-year-old woman died after consuming pesticide following a domestic dispute in Jeedimetla, while her seven-year-old daughter is undergoing treatment.
According to the police, the incident was reported on March 4 when Burani Mounika and her husband, Burani Bhanu Teja, residents of Jeedimetla, had an argument over a marriage-related issue. During the dispute, Mounika consumed pesticide and gave it to their daughter, Hasini.
Though Bhanu Teja shifted both of them immediately to a private hospital for treatment, Mounika succumbed on March 6, while Hasini continues to receive medical care.
The Petbasheerabad police booked a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
