With a call for change in the upcoming Assembly polls, the West Bengal unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday (February 28, 2026) released the theme song and a booklet of ‘Paribartan Yatra’ (March for Change) which starts from March 1 (Saturday).

The top three leaders of the West Bengal BJP, State president Samik Bhattacharya, Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari and Union Minister of State Sukanta Majumdar were present at the launch of the video theme song and booklet containing the details of Paribartan Yatra.

The Paribartan Yatra is start from nine different places in State, at four venues there will public rallies on March 1 and at five other venues there will be gatherings on March 2. All these nine yatras will coverge in Kolkata and Prime Minister Narendra Modi address a public rally at Brigade Parade Grounds at the conclusion of the march. “There is no government in West Bengal what we are seeing is a living fossil,” State BJP president Samik Bhattacharya said.

The BJP leader claimed of a demography change in West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand said that the elections is a “battle of survival for West Bengal”. Mr. Bhattacharya highlighted the exodus of merit, capital and labour from the State and appealed to the supporters of Left parties to keep their ideology aside for some time and join the BJP to save West Bengal.
