Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Animal rescuers in Britain credited a child on their walk to school with the speedy rescue of a muntjac deer found wedged in a fence.

The RSPCA said a child walking to school recently alerted the residents of a home that a small deer was stuck between the metal bars of their garden gate.

"Luckily, the kind-hearted child alerted the tenants, who gave us a quick call and thankfully, teamwork prevailed," the RSPCA said on social media.
