Feb. 16 (UPI) -- White Lotus star Natasha Rothwell and Westworld actress Tessa Thompson were among the 41st Film Independent Spirit Award attendees to speak out against ICE Sunday.
Rothwell, Thompson, Emily V. Gordon, Lake Bell and Kumail Nanjiani wore an "ICE Out" buttons, but Rothwell also took a moment to address the issue before presenting an award.
"I'm gonna go to the prompter, but I just want to say, '[Explicit] ICE,'" she said.
Immigration officials have been at the center of controversy after killing American citizens Renee Good and Alex Pretti in January.
Other stars have spoken out about Immigration and Customs Enforcement's brutal raids during award shows.
