Consumers are being warned to check their refrigerators after more than 22,000 pounds of ground beef were recalled due to possible E. coli contamination.

According to the notice posted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) on Wednesday, Feb. 11, the recall affects about 22,912 pounds of ground beef sold by CS Beef Packers, LLC, of Kuna, Idaho.

Officials say that the beef was produced on Jan. 14, 2026, and shipped to distributors in California, Idaho and Oregon. According to the USDA, there have been no confirmed reports of illness in connection with the recalled beef.

“FSIS is concerned that some products may be in foodservice freezers. Foodservice locations are urged not to serve these products. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase,” the notice said.
