A data centre provider has invested £10m in a site it says will help power artificial intelligence (AI).

Pulsant has upgraded its premises at St Neots House on Rockingham Drive in Milton Keynes, creating a new "data hall" designed to run powerful computing jobs.

They include machine learning, a branch of AI where computers learn patterns from data.

The company said it gives businesses an alternative to using London data centres, which it claimed were becoming crowded and expensive.

The enhanced centre could also be used by companies in financial services, healthcare and gaming.
