The Lok Sabha failed to function on Friday (February 6, 2026) as the Opposition kept up its protests over the Indo-U.S. trade deal and over excerpts from an unpublished book by former Army chief General M.M. Naravane on the 2020 face-off with China.

The House proceedings were adjourned first till noon and then for the day as the Opposition protests continued unabated.

It was the second day when the House could not take up a discussion on the Union Budget presented on February 1.
