Unlike the real Melania Trump, Laura Benanti’s fake Melania knows how to cut to the chase in just a few — very funny — words.
On Wednesday’s episode of “The Late Show,” host Stephen Colbert played a clip of the actual first lady attempting to explain what her new documentary, titled simply “Melania,” is about at its Washington, D.C., premiere last week.
“Some have called this a documentary,” Trump says in the clip. “It is not. My film is a very deliberate act of authorship, inviting you to witness events and emotions through a window of rich imagery.”
She added, “It’s a created experience that offers perspectives, insights and moments that only few have seen.”
“...What?” Colbert said of Trump’s word salad.
