Actor Laura Benanti returned to “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Monday to reprise her crowd-favorite role as Melania Trump.
The faux FLOTUS took aim at husband President Donald Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and even that infamous hat she wore while meeting Britain’s King Charles III.
Colbert asked “Melania” about a proposal suggesting the Kennedy Center’s opera house could be renamed in her honor.
“Oh, it is such an honor. I cannot wait to change my name to Melania Kennedy,” she quipped.
But when Colbert steered the conversation toward Donald Trump’s onetime friend, the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the fake Melania suddenly claimed to experience technical difficulties.
