Savannah Guthrie asked fans to pray for her mother's safe return as authorities continue to investigate her possible kidnapping.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing from her home outside Tucson, Arizona, on Sunday, Feb. 1, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said.
Officials said they are treating Nancy Guthrie's disappearance as a crime, noting they believe she "was taken from the home." She has limited mobility and is without necessary daily medication, they said.
In a statement, Savannah Guthrie, who was absent from the "TODAY" show on Monday, expressed her gratitude for the support. "On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and messages of support," she said.
According to a missing persons flyer, Nancy Guthrie is 5'5" and about 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information should contact the Pima County Sheriff's Office at (520)351-4900.
