Jan. 21 (UPI) -- A Florida animal shelter was able to reunite a missing dog with her family more than 10 years after the canine vanished from her home.
Miami-Dade Animal Services said on social media that a dog was brought to the shelter earlier this month and scanned for a microchip.
The chip identified the dog as Buttercup, a 15-year-old pet who had been missing for over 10 years.
