The Mega Millions jackpot ahead of the Tuesday, Jan. 20 drawing rose to $250 million with a cash value of $113.5 million.
If someone were to get lucky tonight and win the jackpot, they’ll have two options: take home a one-time, lump-sum cash payment or receive an immediate payment followed by annual checks, each 5% larger than the previous year.
Last week, a new lottery game called “Millionaire for Life” was announced by the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL). The new game, which is set to begin on Feb. 22, will be drawn daily with jackpot winners able to receive $1 million a year for life.
