“Marty Supreme” grossed another $5 million at the domestic box office over the weekend, according to early estimates reported by the Hollywood trade publications, pushing Timothée Chalamet’s ping pong drama over the $80 million mark, making it indie distributor A24's most successful film in North American theaters to date.
“Marty Supreme” grossed an estimated $5.4 million gross over the traditional weekend, overtaking A24’s previous highest grossing movie in total domestic box office sales.
“Marty Supreme” had a reported production budget of $60 million-$70 million, but the film will need to continue attracting audiences to make a profit as theaters typically take about half of ticket sales.
