Jan. 8 (UPI) -- The Washington Wizards agreed to trade guard C.J. McCollum and forward Corey Kispert to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for All-Star guard Trae Young, a league source told UPI on Thursday.

Young, 27, averaged 19.3 points, 8.9 assists and 1.5 rebounds per game through his first 10 starts this season, while limited due to a right MCL sprain and right quad contusion.

The four-time All-Star led the NBA in assists and turnovers three of the last four seasons.

Young scored a league-high 2,155 points in 2021-22. He averaged 25.2 points, 9.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game through his first eight seasons.
