Nick Reiner, the son of Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer-Reiner, is set to be arraigned in Los Angeles court on Wednesday on murder charges.
The 32-year-old screenwriter is accused of fatally stabbing his parents in December.
Los Angeles police confirmed Tuesday, Dec. 16, that the couple were found dead in the master bedroom of their Los Angeles home in the affluent Brentwood neighborhood. Authorities allege that Nick Reiner used a knife to kill his parents in "the early morning hours" of Sunday, Dec. 14, then "fled" the scene.
He now faces criminal charges for the fatal stabbings, and the Los Angeles district attorney has not ruled out the death penalty.
