A senior police officer said that in cybercrime-related cases, they led the efforts to identify the relevant contacts of cybercriminals — who cheat the public and siphon off money through online platforms and social media — freeze bank accounts, recover lost amounts, and credit them back to the victims’ bank accounts. In cases where victims were deceived into transferring money to other bank accounts, the concerned accounts have been frozen, and the money recovered through due legal and court procedures.
