A killer is on the loose after a well-liked dentist and his wife were shot dead in their Ohio home in a crime that orphaned their two young children, who were found crying but physically unharmed.
Spencer and Monique Tepe's bodies were found in their home in Columbus on Dec. 30, after a concerned co-worker called 911. Police have not named any suspects or cited a motive, and have released little information, something concerning area residents left in shock and fear.
Columbus police did not return a request for more information from USA TODAY on Friday, Jan. 2. On Wednesday, they said there were no indications of a murder-suicide, reported the Columbus Dispatch, part of the USA TODAY Network.
A police dispatcher report obtained by the newspaper on Dec. 31 includes a mention of the police code for a robbery, though the department hasn't shared any further details.
Meanwhile the couple's family has been left devastated.
