Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Saturday alleged that even Union Ministers were spreading hatred against the State as they could not tolerate its growth, which has drawn the nation’s attention.
Inaugurating new projects and laying foundation for buildings in Tiruvannamalai district, Mr. Stalin said Union Ministers believed they could secure votes in northern States by targeting Tamil Nadu.
“But their designs failed. Their hate campaign prompted people to search social media to understand what is actually happening in Tamil Nadu. They are learning about our economic development, welfare schemes, and sense of individuality, and posting videos in support of Tamil Nadu. They are spreading the message that India’s southern region has achieved growth,” the Chief Minister said.
Mr. Stalin said that despite Tamil Nadu not receiving its due share under the GST and other Central assistance, the DMK government had worked for the welfare of every district and family.
