The newly appointed Bihar State president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Sanjay Saraogi, on Thursday (December 18, 2025) formally assumed charge at the party office.
Addressing party workers and leaders during a felicitation ceremony, he said the organisation was supreme in the BJP and its ideology was the soul of the party. He said that party workers were the backbone of the organisation.
Mr. Saraogi told party workers that his education began in the shakhas of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and that his journey from “I” to “We” began with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad.
Acknowledging senior leaders and former State presidents, Mr. Saraogi said veteran leaders had shaped him like skilled artisans and entrusted him with this important responsibility.
He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president J.P. Nadda, and National Working President Nitin Nabin, stating that he would live up to the confidence reposed in him.
