The Powerball jackpot rose to $1.1 billion for the Monday, Dec. 15, drawing after no one on Saturday, Dec. 13, took home the top prize.
If a ticket matches all five numbers plus the Powerball in the 11 p.m. ET drawing, the winner can choose a one-time cash payment of $503.4 million before taxes.
Back in September, the second-largest jackpot in the game’s history, which was an estimated $1.787 billion, was won by two tickets sold in Montana and Texas.
