After you’ve enjoyed your coffee at home, don’t throw away the coffee grounds just yet. Here are sustainable ways to reuse that grainy pixie dust.
Buff away rough patches on your feet by using a small amount to smoothen skin.
Add to your garden soil to enrich it with organic matter and help your plants blossom — it also works as natural mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Fill a small piece of cheesecloth with the stuff, tie it up, and tuck it into shoes or boots — just make sure the coffee grounds are fully dry.
When dining outdoors, coffee grounds heated with coal send flies flying away; or directly toss the grounds into the garden, as they also naturally ward off ants and slugs.
