The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cold wave alert in 10 Telangana districts for Sunday.

According to IMDs latest bulletin, cold wave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancheiral, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts.

Hyderabad and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see mainly clear sky. “Mist or hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during morning or night hours. The minimum temperatures are likely to be below normal by 3°C to 4°C during the next two days. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 30°C and 12°C respectively,” the bulletin said.

Meanwhile, according to data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), between December 12 and 13, a total of 15 districts in the State recorded temperatures below 10°C with Kohir in Sangareddy recording the lowest minimum temperature of 6.5°C, which was followed by 7.1°C in Tiryani - Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, 7.3°C in Moinabad - Rangareddy, 7.4°C Mominpet - Vikarabad, 8.1°C in Uppal - Medchal Malkajgiri, 8.2°C in Yeldurthy - Medak, 8.3°C in Kukunoorpally - Siddipet, 8.5°C in Sonala - Adilabad, 8.6°C in Gandhari - Kamareddy, 9.2°C in Kothapalle - Narayanpet, and Pembi - Nirmal, 9.4°C in Balmoor - Nagarkurnool, 9.7°C in Saloora - Nizamabad, 9.9°C in Mallapur - Jagtial, and 10°C in Ramagiri - Peddapalli.
