With the cold wave growing more severe across Telangana, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cold wave alert for seven districts for Thursday( December 11, 2025). According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), Kohir in Sangareddy district recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 5.6°C between December 9 and 10.
According to IMDs latest bulletin, cold wave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts.
Hyderabad and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see a clear sky, which could turn partly cloudy towards evening. “Mist or hazy conditions are very likely to prevail during morning and night hours. The minimum temperatures are very likely to be below normal by 3°C to 4°C during the next two to three days. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 29°C and 13°C,” the bulletin said.
Meanwhile, the data from Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) revealed that 25 out of the 33 districts in the state recorded temperatures below 10°C between December 9 and 10.
Sirpur in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad) distirct recorded 6°C, followed by 6.2°C in Bheempoor (Adilabad), 6.6°C in Moinabad (Rangareddy), 6.9°C in Mominpet (Vikarabad), 7.4°C in Akbarpet (Siddipet), 7.8°C in Shivampet (Medak), Kotgiri (Nizamabad) and Dongli (Kamareddy), 8.2°C in Narayanpet (Narayanpet), 8.6°C in Pembi (Nirmal), 8.7°C in Rudrangi (Rajanna Sircilla), 8.9°C in Anthergoan (Peddapalli), Tadvai (Mulugu) and Endapalli (Jagtial), 9°C in Choutuppal (Yadadri Bhongir), 9.2°C in Mutharam (Jayashankar Bhupalpally) and Kalwakurthy (Nagarkurnool).
