A 35-year-old migrant worker was killed after being hit by an two-wheeler on the East Coast Road (ECR) on Wednesday evening.
Traffic police said that the victim, A. Rakesh, a native of Bihar, is a construction worker. On Wednesday evening, when he was trying to cross the road, a speeding two-wheeler knocked him down and fled. The victim sustained head injuries and died on the spot.
Adyar Traffic Crime Investigation Police sent the body to Royapettah Government Hospital for post-mortem. The police are searching the CCTV footage to identify the vehicle involved in the accident.
