Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Thursday that the government will pass legislation to make it possible for Italy to continue to provide military support to Ukraine.

When asked about the reservations Deputy Premier, Transport Minister and right-wing League leader Matteo Salvini has expressed about continuing support for Kyiv, Tajani said: "the position is the one given by the premier, which I agree with.

"The text will be approved by the end of the year," he added at an event organized by his centre-right Forza Italia party at the Lower House.

"Foreign policy is the responsibility of the prime minister and the foreign minister".
