A global summit of Tamil entrepreneurs and professionals ‘Sangam 5’ will be held in Madurai from January 8 to January 11, 2026. The summit would bring together nearly 2,000 delegates from more than 50 countries.
The global summit is being organised by The Rise Organisation which will be hosting its 16th Global Summit of Tamil Entrepreneurs and Professionals. Addressing journalists at a press meet in Madurai, its founder Rev. Dr. Jegath Gaspar Raj said keeping in mind the enormous economic and market potential of India the organisation has taken special efforts to mobilise Tamil entrepreneurs.
Finding global markets for products and services of Tamil entrepreneurs has remained one of the core priorities of the organisation which has Chapters in more than 40 countries, he said, adding that the first Summit was held in Madurai in 2018.
One salient aspect of the summit was the mini summits within the larger canvas of the global summit. Separate track summits are planned for IT, Logistics, Healthcare, HR, Engineering, Export and Imports, Tourism and Higher Education. The track summits will be curated by the wings of the organisation that included, Tamil Doctors International (TDI), Association of Tamil IT Entrepreneurs and Professionals (Aatral), Global Tamil Engineers Forum (GTEF) Global Logistics Forum (GLF), Tamil Women International (TWI), POTAN-Products of Tamil Nadu. A Start Up funding Pitch Fest curated by Global Tamil Angels Network (GTAN) will be a major highlight. The summit will also see a fine blend of culture and global promotion of jallikattu.
