Coimbatore will play host to the inaugural of Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit (TNGSS) 2025, billed as one of the country’s largest platforms for entrepreneurs and investors.The two-day summit, a flagship initiative of StartupTN, will be inaugurated on October 9 by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. Organisers say the summit aims to showcase Tamil Nadu’s growing innovation ecosystem and position the State as a hub for global startup investments. StartupTN is the nodal agency for nurturing and promoting startups in Tamil Nadu.StartupTN Mission Director and CEO Sivarajah Ramanathan said, “This is the first summit towards connecting global ecosystem partners. Close to 35 countries are participating in this summit that will be held at Codissia Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore. Many startups will also be given funding support at the event.”According to details shared by Mr.Ramanathan, companies from Japan, Poland, Lithuania, Australia, South Africa, and Germany will anchor the Space-Tech Pavilion, alongside India’s own Agnikul Cosmos, Dhruva Space, and GalaxEye. On the startup front, Unicorns and Soonicorns like RedBus, EaseMyTrip, Ninjacart and Cashfree Payments will share insights and journey in the ecosystem.Around 352 shortlisted startups will be making pitches in the presence of marquee investors. “Around ₹100 crore investment commitments are expected,” Mr.Ramanathan pointed out. “Over 100 confirmed investors are already onboard, including marquee venture capitalists and angel networks,” he added.The event will see over 750 stalls, 2,000 delegates and 30,000 visitors. It will spotlight 15 ‘Power Brand’ startups from Tamil Nadu, alongside 50 student-led startups under the Startify initiative.
