A 45-year-old government schoolteacher died after a concrete-mixture trolley fell on her from the first floor of an under-construction stage at ZP High School in Rajanagaram at Payakaraopeta here on Friday (November 21).
As per police reports, Joshna Bai, an English teacher at the school, a resident of Ramakrishna Colony and native of Kakinada, was standing near an under-construction stage after the morning prayer when a concrete-carrying trolley placed on the slab above fell on her. She suffered severe injuries and was immediately shifted to the Government Area Hospital in Tuni, where she died while undergoing treatment.
Minister for Home and Payakaraopeta MLA V. Anitha expressed grief over the incident and said the government would extend support to the family of the teacher. The Payakaraopeta police registered a case.
