Divisional Railway Manager Lalit Bohra conducted comprehensive inspection of the Silakjhori- Jagdalpur-Koraput section of KK line on Tuesday. He was accompanied by senior officials of Waltair Division, from various departments including construction, operations, commercial, signal and telecom, electrical, mechanical, security, and medical departments.
He inspected the station yards, stations, colonies, LC gates, curves, points and crossings, signal equipment, electrical units, OHE supply, medical and staff amenities. He also conducted a thorough inspection of the Silakjhori station, yard, staff quarters and other establishments at station. He reviewed the detailed passenger and staff amenities at the station and suggested improvements.
Mr. Bohra focused on the improvement of the amenities at the Dilmili station and in the railway colony. He held elaborate discussions with the officers on the improvement of infrastructure at the station and facilities to the railway commuters and staff.
Later, the DRM inspected the level crossing gate No. KK-88 between Jagdalpur- Naktisemra. He interacted with the gateman to assess the safety protocols at the level crossing, ensuring gate functionality, and raising awareness about safety working rules. He continued his inspection at Jagdalpur station, where he visited the facilities of the health unit, RPF barrack, running room and railway quarters. He interacted with residents to understand their grievances and identify facility improvements, including health infrastructure.
