Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Rosalia released her album Lux on Friday, which she described as showcasing "maximalism" in an interview with Zane Lowe.

"I think the best fiction is the fiction that has the storyline between what's personal and what's universal, what's detailed and what's abstract," she told him in their conversation, which aired Thursday. "There has to be some sort of truth or meaning, but at the same time, I think it's much more about the other -- if you are writing from this place, then you can sing from this place."

"I promised myself I was gonna make an album where I was going to finish the thought, finish the song, go all the way 'til the end," she added. "Motomami was minimalist. This is maximalism."

Motomami arrived in 2022.
