Fox News host Jesse Watters on Wednesday appeared genuinely confused about the negative reaction to the artificial intelligence-generated video President Donald Trump shared over the weekend, which showed him bombing “No Kings” protesters with feces.Watters went on to argue that Democrats are being hypocritical by condemning the bizarre video, as many have cheered Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) for his own social media use ― except Newsom hasn’t crapped on the American people in a video.“He’s strafing feces over everybody, and Democrats are like, ‘Ahhhh!’” Watters said Wednesday. “Wasn’t it like a day ago, they were like, ‘We need to up our social media game?’ And they were like, ‘Gavin’s the man! He’s crushing it on social media.’”Watters slammed MSNBC host Jen Psaki earlier in the show for commenting on Vice President JD Vance’s marriage, and criticized actor Jeff Daniels for condemning the Trump video and singing a protest song on television in support of the “No Kings” demonstrations.“And then Trump puts [House Minority Leader] Hakeem [Jeffries] in a sombrero and they cry,” said Watters. “He puts a funny thing out that breaks the internet and they complain. They bring out a 70-year-old actor to play guitar. Think about how that looks.”He continued, “It doesn’t look good, and they are mad that he is having fun.”Before stating as if everyone should know, accept or understand that the president is a “memelord” (or someone with an edgy image at the ready for any given situation online), the right-wing pundit praised Trump for his supposedly historic presidency.“This guy is modernizing the country!” Watters said Wednesday.“AI,” he continued. “We’re building nuclear power plants. Bitcoin. He is rewiring world trade. We have to go into this century with the full force of American ingenuity. And if it means a big, beautiful ballroom, if it means a grand arch in the middle of D.C., that’s a good thing!”Trump has indeed spent much of his second term renovating the White House ballroom and overseeing preliminary plans to construct a new triumphal arch in the nation’s capital. How these projects will improve the lives of the American people at large remains unclear.Close
