Jesse Waters called President Donald Trump a “Fox News producer” and thanked him for the content he provides just days after the president told the channel to get “on board ... NOW” and stop being politically correct.
“The Five” colleague Martha MacCallum teed up Watters’ fawning by asking him if Trump could invoke the Insurrection Act to defy a judge’s order to keep troops out of Portland, Oregon.
“I wish we didn’t have to see it, but Democrats are not doing their job, so we might have to see it,” Watters said.
After a bit of a detour, Watters gushed over Trump as if he were a prized broadcasting partner.
“It is funny to watch Trump be a Fox News producer,” he said. “We look at the news, and you see Trump is holding an antifa roundtable at the White House, and you just say, ‘Thank you. Thank you, Donald Trump. This is the best.’ We know all of these reporters that are around this roundtable. .. They’re guests on our shows. The mainstream media has probably never heard of any of these people, and this is why this is such great programming.”
