A car crash actually ended up saving brothers Alec Baldwin and Stephen Baldwin from a serious disaster in the Hamptons on Monday afternoon.
The “30 Rock” actor checked in with Instagram followers after the accident to let them know he and his brother were OK after smashing Alec’s wife’s SUV into a tree.
“This morning I was in this car accident, the guy cut me off in a big garbage truck. I mean, a garbage truck the size of a whale,” Baldwin told fans in a video captioned, “Thank you for your concern.”
“It must have been something commercial for like taking away material from construction or something,” he added. “It was the biggest garbage truck I’ve ever seen.”
Baldwin said he swerved off the road to avoid hitting the huge vehicle but then ended up hitting “a big, fat tree.”
