Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) P.K. Sekarbabu inspected various development works being carried out under the Vada Chennai Valarchi Thittam (North Chennai Development Plan), through the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), in the Royapuram zone (V) on Monday (October 13, 2025).
According to a press release, the construction of a community hall on Waltax Road and V.O.C. Street is under way at a cost of ₹8.55 crore, and additional classrooms with ground and first floors are being built at the Chennai Corporation Higher Secondary School for ₹1.41 crore. At the Chennai Corporation Middle School on Amman Koil Street, additional classrooms with ground and first floors are being constructed for ₹2.97 crore.
The Minister inspected these works. Regional Deputy Commissioner (North) Katta Ravi Teja, Ward Committee Chairman P. Sriramulu, and other officials were present.
