A suspect briefly fled from custody and hid inside a police station in Hong Kong before being rearrested, marking the second escape incident in two days.The most recent escape occurred on Tuesday at Sau Mau Ping Police Station, where a 32-year-old woman fled while under investigation for an assault case dating back to June 17 in Ngau Tau Kok.She was arrested for allegedly pushing her 97-year-old grandfather to the ground during a dispute over money. The elderly man was conscious when taken to hospital.While under investigation at the station, the woman escaped from custody, a spokesman said.She was quickly recaptured and rearrested for attempting to escape lawful detention.The first escape happened on Monday evening at North District Hospital, involving an 18-year-old male suspect under police guard. Half-naked and still wearing a prisoner’s chain, he reportedly asked to use the toilet and fled.
