“Love Is Blind” is back once again. This time, the Netflix reality dating experiment heads to Denver to meet 32 singles who are looking for true love. Now in its ninth season, “Love Is Blind” aired the first six episodes Wednesday, with five episodes devoted to the pods and one episode that takes the couples to their post-engagement trip to Mexico. Six couples get engaged, and there are plenty of love triangles to detangle throughout — and, yes, a few singles actually get ghosted in the first few episodes.HuffPost staff chatted about the latest installment of “Love Is Blind,” including one cringeworthy moment that we never want to think about again.Whether you’ve watched all the episodes and want some takes on the big moments so far, or if you’re dying to skip through the (sometimes) boring pod episodes, we’ve got you covered. See below for updates.Patrick Shares His Ethnicity And Nationality With KacieI think it should be a rule that you cannot share your ethnicity or nationality in the pods. Doesn’t that reveal partly ruin the whole point? Patrick says in a confessional interview in Episode 1 that he was always the “only Asian” in school, and that he doesn’t want to be judged by his nationality and ethnicity. In Episode 2, he reveals that he is Chinese and Cambodian. Kacie ends up saying that him being Asian doesn’t change her feelings toward him; she’s Mormon and her siblings are in interracial relationships. Patrick also tells Anna, who is also Asian, his ethnicity. It strengthens their relationship … though that was short-lived. — ErinYeah, this low-key pissed me off, too. I understood the reveal when Patrick told Anna his ethnicity, because I feel like, based on their conversations, they both suspected they had similar backgrounds. However, that is technically cheating the experiment. If you’re supposed to avoid sharing other physical attributes, I think this information should be off-limits as well because it defeats the purpose of blindly looking for love on this show. And in the case of Patrick telling Kacie his ethnicity, it seemed like he felt pressured to do it (in his mind) because of his own insecurities, which tells me he may not have been ready for this experiment. Either way, I need the producers to make this a hard rule next season to make things more fair across the board. — NjeraSee All UpdatesClose
