Oct. 6 (UPI) -- Instagram has launched its new "Rings" recognition for 25 of its creators.
The new cashless award by Meta-owned Instagram is granting 25 gold ring awards to content creators and a matching badge for their profile.
Filmmaker Spike Lee, Instagram chief Adam Mosseri, designer Marc Jacobs and YouTuber Marques Brownlee will be part of a panel choosing the winners.
In addition, the 25 Instagram winners will be able to utilize special features like customizing the "like" button and alter their profile backdrop color.
"It's more about a special visibility and sort of incentive for people to work toward a really cool elevated recognition," Brownlee told CNBC on Monday.
