BJP MP Basavaraj Bommai has said that despite the Centre clarifying on the GST compensation issue, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is repeatedly telling lies about it.
Speaking to presspersons in Haveri on Saturday, Mr. Bommai said that Mr. Siddaramaiah is trying to turn his lies on the GST compensation issue into truth by repeating it a proverbial 100 times.
Referring to Mr. Siddaramaiah’s claim on dues to the tune of ₹11,000 crore from the Centre, Mr. Bommai demanded proof for what he termed as a false claim.
“Under the 15th Finance Commission, the State has received over ₹1 lakh crore from 2014 onwards. Every year, around ₹3,000 crore is released at the end of the fiscal year. But Mr. Siddaramaiah never mentions what the Centre has already released,” he said.
On the Belagavi stone-throwing incident, he said that there is a conspiracy by certain groups to create anarchy in the country and such groups are being supported by vested interests.
