Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Friday (September 26, 2025) released 26 books published by the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation. He also virtually inaugurated new buildings for 146 libraries across the State, constructed at a total cost of ₹39 crore.The Chief Minister unveiled the foundation for the construction of a new district central library to be spread over 14,300 sq.ft. in Kallakurichi at a cost of ₹4 crore. The newly released titles were in the categories of rare books, nationalised books, the history of Tamil Nadu, and eminent personalities, among others.At another event, the Chief Minister virtually inaugurated a new building at the Guindy Industrial Estate, which would house the head office of the Natural Resources Department. The building is spread over 40,528 sq.ft., constructed at a cost of ₹23.10 crore.Mr. Stalin also distributed appointment orders to those who have recently been recruited for various posts in the Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare Department, Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers Federation Limited, and Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.Ministers S. Regupathy, Anitha R. Radhakrishnan, and Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi were present during the events at the Secretariat.
