Chief Minister M.K. Stalin hands over appointment orders to 1,231 newly recruited village health nurses at a function in Chennai on Monday

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday (September 22, 2025) unveiled the foundation for an academy to train fire and rescue services personnel, to be constructed in Kalavakkam, Chengalpattu district. The academy, being established at a total cost of ₹21 crore, will have the capacity to train about 300 personnel and will feature a parade ground on its campus, according to an official release.The Chief Minister inaugurated new classrooms and hostels at various locations, constructed at a total cost of ₹3.94 crore, and also unveiled the foundation for new projects that are to be implemented at a total cost of ₹61.44 crore. Minister Siva V. Meyyanathan was present.Mr. Stalin also inaugurated new projects for the Police Department, implemented at a total cost of ₹97 crore. He also inaugurated new projects by the Fire and Rescue Department, implemented at ₹3 crore.In the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and Minister T.R.B. Rajaa, Mr. Stalin presented appointment orders to four sportspersons, who have obtained employment in government departments and State PSUs under the 3% reservation for sports quota.In another event at the Secretariat, Mr. Stalin distributed appointment orders to officials recruited to the Tamil Development Department. Minister M.P. Saminathan, Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam, and senior officials participated.At Kalaivanar Arangam, the Chief Minister distributed appointment orders to over 1,200 village health nurses, who have been recently recruited.
