Avadi Traffic Investigation police arrested a 41-year-old medical practitioner in connection with an accident in which a couple was killed.
The doctor, Pari Marx, who suffered injuries in the accident, was discharged from the hospital on Sunday.
The police said Arivarasan, and his wife Saranya, of Thiruverkadu, were travelling to Avadi on their two-wheeler, when the car driven by Pari rammed their vehicle near Vasantham Nagar in Paruthipattu on August 28. The couple was killed on the spot. The speeding car then hit a mini-van and toppled over.
