On Thursday, September 4, at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Jean Pisani-Ferry was awarded the Légion d'Honneur. This text is his response to the speech made on that occasion by Economy Minister Eric Lombard, whom he has known for a long time. Both were members of the "Groupe des Arcs" an informal club of left-leaning senior civil servants and economists.
