Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Joe Burrow, Justin Fields and Aaron Jones were among the NFL stars injured in Week 2 of the season. Those injured will be evaluated to determine timelines for return.

Burrow hurt his left toe in the second quarter of the Bengals' 31-27 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in Cincinnati. He did not return and was seen using a walking boot and crutches after the game.

Bengals coach Zac Taylor did not disclose details of the injury at his postgame news conference, but sources told NFL Network, The Athletic and ESPN that Burrow is feared to have sustained Grade 3 turf toe, which would require surgery and an absence of at least three months.

Burrow completed 7 of 13 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown. Bengals backup quarterback Jake Browning completed 21 of 32 passes for 241 yards, two scores and three interceptions. He also ran for a score.
