The Orleanpet police on Monday (September 15, 2025) recovered the decomposed body of a man from a car parked in Anna Nagar in Puducherry town.
The police suspect the middle-aged man had died at least three days ago. The incident came to light when locals noticed a foul smell emanating from the car and discovered the body, the police said.
The police said the owner of the car lived nearby and as per his account, he had not used his vehicle for the past six days. “We are not ruling out any aspect in the case. Investigation is on and more details could be shared only after the post-mortem,” said a police officer.
