Regional Transport Officer S. Vinayagam has warned against under-aged children riding bikes and heads of schools allowing them to come to the institutions in violation of this rule by riding two-wheelers.
As he chaired the road safety and consumer protection awareness meeting held here on Thursday, Mr. Vinayagam said juveniles below the age of 18 would not be given driving license and hence they should not be allowed to ride two-wheelers and drive cars and other vehicles. Anyone violating this rule would be booked and case registered against parents also for allowing their children to manoeuvre the vehicles in violation of law.
