The Consulting Civil Engineers Association is organising a walkathon from the Government Degree College to the Zilla Panchayat Office at 6.30 a.m. on Sunday, district unit president of the association Bheemanagouda Kyatnal has said.
Addressing a press conference in Yadgir on Friday, Mr. Kyatnal said that the 164th birth anniversary of the iconic engineer Sir M. Visvesvaraya is going to be held on Monday.
To mark the birth anniversary, the walkathon and programme are being organised.
Achievers in different fields and students who have secured the highest score in PU exams will be felicitated during the event.
Deputy Commissioner Harshal Bhoyar will inaugurate the birth anniversary programme, while Superintendent of Police Pruthvik Shankar, Chief Executive Officer Lavish Ordia, Siddappa Hotti and others will be present.
