Vishnu Sena Samiti has welcomed the State government decision to present the actor late Vishnuvardhan posthumously the Karnataka Ratna award.
Addressing a press conference in Yadgir on Friday, district unit president of the samiti Ravi Tadabidi expressed gratitude to the State government and said that it has taken a good decision to honour the late actor who served the Kannada film field for several decades.
He also urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to sanction 10 guntas of land at Abhiman Studio in Bengaluru to construct a memorial for the actor.
